Foot & Ankle Injuries

Comprehensive biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, and custom orthotics — addressing the root cause of foot and ankle pain, not just the symptoms.

Biomechanical Assessment

Initial Biomechanics Appointment

Many foot and ankle problems — including plantar fasciitis, heel pain, Achilles tendinopathy, shin splints, and knee pain — have their root cause in the way the foot functions during walking and running. A biomechanical assessment allows Amanda to identify exactly what is happening and why.

The initial assessment is thorough and includes:

Detailed history including symptoms, activity level, and footwear
Physical examination of the foot, ankle, and lower limb
RS Scan pressure plate analysis — 300 measurements per second
Full explanation of findings with treatment recommendations
Initial biomechanics appointment: £62 — includes RS Scan pressure analysis.

Gait Analysis

Gait analysis provides a detailed video assessment of how you walk, allowing Amanda to identify subtle abnormalities in movement patterns that may not be visible to the naked eye in a standard assessment.

Using slow-motion video, Amanda analyses your walking pattern from multiple angles — identifying overpronation, supination, stride asymmetries, and other gait deviations that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Slow-motion video analysis from front, side, and rear
Identification of overpronation, supination, and compensatory patterns
Detailed report with findings and treatment plan
3D orthotics charged separately if prescribed
Full gait analysis: £160 including detailed report. 3D orthotics additional.
